I know it’s not technically Spider-Man 4 news but over at iesb.net they are reporting that Venom could be getting his own spin off feature. According to them, the studio has already starting looking for a writer and talked to a few people. I for one, would be ecstatic to see a feature length Venom movie after being disappointed with his limited role in Spider-Man 3. Now, do I think Topher Grace should continue playing Eddie Brock / Venom….. I’m not sure. I did like him in Spider-Man 3, I just always pictured Brock as a beefier guy. But we’ll see, the studio hopefully knows what they are doing.

I personally would be ecstatic if there was a Venom Movie. But if there was, i find it hard to imagine what it would be about. If spiderman ws included, would Tobey Mcguire still be spiderman in it. it just seems a bit difficult to imagine a supervillian movie.

Actually, there are a LOT of things a Venom movie could be about WITHOUT spider-man. I mean, there were many Venom limited series comic books where he was portrayed as sort of a superhero and there was no spider-man, so as far as ideas go, I don’t think that will be a problem.

I think that Topher Grace was puny and a horrible casting for the roll in Spiderman 3. I was severely disappointed in the entire lack of Venom in the movie. I personaly think that a Carnage movie would be a great way to go. And I would hope for it to be rated R. Though it would hurt ticket sales severely and I doubt it would ever happen. I would just love to see a dark interpritation of the Carnage series in a movie.

i think they should have a venom movie featuring eddie brocks father eddie brock senior because as you no topher graces character was eddie jr so if a new venom movie goes ahead they should have the father find the symbiote sliver dr connors has from spiderman 3 and that would open up lots of possibilities regarding d comic books or even take it in a brand new directions
