The first writer James Vanderbuilt, who wrote Zodiac, didn’t impress the studios with his take on what Spider-Man 4 should entail so Sony has hired David Lindsay-Abaire. And with both Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi! That’s the rumor. The Hollywood Reporter has come out and said that both Tobey and Sam are very close to a deal with Sony Pictures to create two more Spider-Man movies.
