Spider-Man 4 News

I know it’s not technically Spider-Man 4 news but over at iesb.net they are reporting that Venom could be getting his own spin off feature. According to them, the studio has already starting looking for a writer and talked to a few people. I for one, would be ecstatic to see a feature length Venom movie after being disappointed with his limited role in Spider-Man 3. Now, do I think Topher Grace should continue playing Eddie Brock / Venom….. I’m not sure. I did like him in Spider-Man 3, I just always pictured Brock as a beefier guy. But we’ll see, the studio hopefully knows what they are doing.

Spider-Man 4 news has been kinda slow lately… actually it’s been dead. So in the meantime I found this site that lists a bunch of Spider-Man props from the movies, along with some cool posters and stuff, check it out. They also have a ton of other movies too.

Straight out of Sam Raimi’s mouth, he’s going to start working with writers after the strike to put together a script for Spider-Man 4. So it looks like Raimi will be on board at least as a producer of sorts if not the director, which I can’t see him NOT doing if he’s going to have his hand in the movie anyways.

That’d be cool. Do you have any inclination yet towards whether you’d like to produce or direct the next Spider-Man movie, or is too early to call?

Sam: I think that’s going to be up to Sony Pictures, and I think that it’s too early for them to say, actually. But currently I’m working on… well, not now, but as soon as the writers strike’s over… I’m going to begin working with a writer on the screenplay.

James Vanderbuilt, who wrote David Fincher’s Zodiac along with movies such as: The Rundown, Basic and Darkness Falls, is set to pen the next installment in the Spider-Man series. The only other person that has signed on to be involved in the movie for sure is producer Laura Ziskin, but as for the main stars and even Sam Raimi, nothing is official yet so we’ll keep you posted.

Make sure you head on out the store to pick up Spider-Man 3 on either DVD or Blu-Ray today! There is also a Blu-Ray trilogy set which looks amazing, so if you have a Blu-Ray player I highly suggest picking up these movies. If you do not have a Blu-Ray player yet, head out and pick up the PS3, it’s the best player for the money and plus you get a video game console. Personally I don’t even own any PS3 games, but love the Blu-Ray player.
